Primary & Secondary Education in Middlesbrough

This website aims to help you if your child is starting school for the first time, transferring from one school to another or if you are new to the area. It describes admission arrangements for our primary and secondary schools.

Please take time to read this website as it has been prepared to help you understand the admissions process. There are notes to help you complete the request form. In particular I would draw your attention to the various Admission Criteria for schools in Middlesbrough, which vary slightly for each category of school, i.e. Community, Voluntary Aided (VA) and City Academies.

Education Services. If you would like to know more about a particular school,
the Head Teacher will be pleased to help and give you a copy of the schools
prospectus. They will also welcome you visiting them and I would suggest that
you contact them first to arrange a suitable time. If you want more advice, our
staff will do all they can to help with any questions or problems. Their address
