Insurance of Pupils

It should be noted that pupils are not automatically covered by any
insurance for personal accident during school hours. The Authority however, does require pupils to be adequately covered by insurance for all visits abroad, and whilst not compulsory, advises that for visits within the UK which involve a
foreseeable degree of risk or an overnight stay, insurance arrangements should
be made. Such arrangements are made by the Head Teacher at the appropriate
time. Parents should note that if they wish their children to be covered by
insurance for personal accident during school hours (including visits out of
school during school hours and sporting activities), they need to make their
own arrangements.
