Are you interested in becoming a Governor?

  • We currently have a number of vacancies in our Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.

What do governors do?

  • Plan the school s future direction Make decisions on the school s budget and staffing
  • Make sure the National Curriculum is taught
  • Decide how the school can encourage pupil s spiritual, moral and cultural development
  • Make sure that the school provides for all its pupils, including those with special educational needs.

Governors are people like you.

You don t need any special qualifications, we will offer a full training programme to increase your skills and knowledge, however do you need to attend meetings, expected to serve on committees and work as a team. Governors are appointed for a four year term of office subject to a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
