Using ICT in schools and with young people can be enormously rewarding and there is a growing body of evidence demonstrating that, when used well, ICT can raise attainment. We also know that ICT can be frustrating no matter whether you are a beginner or an expert user.

The ICT team based at the MTLC is available for support and advice for people across Middlesbrough. We have a variety of backgrounds based around the educational use and implementation of ICT and aim to provide this advice in a clear and simple form.  The ICT team supports new initiatives and strategies through focussed training and support.

Individuals are able to access courses and training through the CPD course programme and schools and centres can discuss group requirements by contacting a member of the ICT team on 01642 201 807.

ICT Team BannerManagement Information is at the heart of the decision making process in Middlesbrough. Accurate, timely information from a range of sources helps to shape the direction of service delivery for the whole of the department. The Management Information Team supports this process by drawing upon pupil data, from pre-nursery to post 16 and providing contextual, attainment, attendance and attitudinal information to a range of educational professionals, policy makers and social work practitioners. The team has a wide range of skills and experience to support front-line professionals in using data systems to collect, analyse and interpret the data to assist in curriculum and resource planning. We also use and share the data to support and protect the most vulnerable children in our care.
