The Commissioning & Resource Section of the Directorate covers a wide brief, mainly providing support services to schools and the Directorate.
- Strategic medium term financial planning for the CFL department.
- Support for the Schools Management Forum in school funding policy development.
- Commissioning support, advice and guidance, childcare sustainability and coordination of complaints and compliments.
- ICT strategy and support for schools and the department including E-Safety/E-Security.
- Information management and systems development including data collection and statutory returns.
- Governor Development services, working with schools to promote effective governance.
- Asset management for schools and the department, & managing the capital programme.
- Strategic planning of school place provision and school organisation.
- Coordination of pupil admissions to schools.
- Client role for Home to School Transport services.
- School Meal Provision in primary, secondary and special schools, promoting healthy eating.
- Middlesbrough Teaching & Learning Centre.
