Sky Ride Middlesbrough

ANYONE who likes cycling is being urged to take part in a huge bike ride event in Middlesbrough on Sunday, August 15.

The event will see 9km of roads through Middlesbrough town centre closed off to traffic and opened up purely for cycling.

The route goes past well-known landmarks such as Centre Square, Albert Park and the Transporter Bridge.

The event takes place from 10am to 2pm.

There will be loads of fun attractions in Centre Square including BMX stunt cycle displays, crazy bikes, bouncy castles and live bands.

Middlesbrough Sky Ride is the only Sky Ride event in the North East during 2010 and has the support of Middlesbrough Council, NHS Middlesbrough, the Middlesbrough Healthy Town programme and British Cycling.
