FILM CLUB
FILMCLUB is a nationwide scheme, backed by educationalists and celebrities such as Emma Thompson and Ewan McGregor, to inspire children through the world of film.
A FREE training and sign-up session for teachers from Middlesbrough and surrounding areas will be held on: Tuesday 2nd March at MCLC, Acklam Grange School, Digital Suite, Lodore Grove, Acklam, Middlesbrough TS5 8PB from 2-4.30pm.
The session is an excellent opportunity for teachers to get involved in an inspiring, easy to run scheme that costs nothing and can hugely benefit their students. Recent research shows that among other benefits, FILMCLUB improves literacy, increases confidence and - crucially - integrates isolated or disengaged children.
We are keen to tell as many schools as possible about the free sign-up session and I hope you will be able to include it in your schools portal.
To sign up they simply need to visit www.filmclub.org and click on 'I want to set up a club' - or call 0207 288 4520.
