European Day of Languages 2010

This year’s theme will be story-telling. Collect traditional tales from children (and parents) whose first language is not English.

Enjoy sharing them and then preserve them for posterity by making an animation or video (as far as possible, in the language). Submit your entries to mgrid, where they will be will be showcased for all to see, and will then be made into a central resource for Middlesbrough schools. It will give schools a great opportunity to value and teach some of the languages which are not usually given a place in the curriculum. (But if you don’t have any other languages, feel free to use French)
